Who is the All-on-4 Implant Treatment Suited For?

The All on 4 dental implants treatment is particularly suitable for patients with total tooth loss, especially if:

  • You are missing most or all of your teeth in either the upper or lower jaw.
  • You have sufficient jawbone density to support the implants, or you are a candidate for bone grafting.
  • You want a permanent, fixed solution that feels and functions like natural teeth.
  • You are looking to avoid the hassle and discomfort associated with traditional dentures.

What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots made from biocompatible materials, such as titanium, that are surgically inserted into the jawbone. These implants fuse with the bone over time, providing a sturdy foundation for replacement teeth. The All on 4 dental implants technique utilizes just four implants to support an entire arch of teeth, making it a less invasive and more cost-effective option than traditional implant methods.

Benefits of All-on-4 Dental Implants

Benefits of All-on-4 Dental Implants

  • Immediate Results: In many cases, temporary teeth are placed the same day as surgery, allowing you to leave the clinic with a functional, beautiful smile.
  • Stability and Comfort: Unlike traditional dentures, All-on-4 implants remain fixed in place, so you can eat, speak, and smile confidently without worrying about slippage.
  • Long-Lasting Solution: With proper care, the implants themselves can last a lifetime. The prosthetic teeth are designed to withstand everyday use and can be replaced or upgraded as needed.
  • Bone Preservation: Implants stimulate the jawbone, preventing bone loss and maintaining the natural shape of your face.
  • Improved Self-Confidence: A secure, natural-looking smile enhances your confidence, allowing you to enjoy social situations, meals, and everyday life without hesitation.
  • Low Maintenance: Caring for All-on-4 implants is simple, just regular brushing, flossing, and routine dental checkups. No messy adhesives or nightly removal like traditional dentures.

Steps Involved in All-on-4 Dental Implant Procedure

  1. Initial Consultation: The first step involves a detailed examination, including imaging such as X-rays or CT scans, to assess the condition of your jawbone and overall oral health. This helps our team determine if All-on-4 implants are the best solution for you and to design a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
  2. Treatment Planning: During this phase, a personalized treatment plan is crafted based on your unique oral health and aesthetic goals. This includes designing your new teeth, considering factors like color, size, and alignment. Our team works closely with you to ensure the final result meets your expectations.
  3. Implant Placement: The All-on-4 procedure involves placing four titanium implants into the jawbone. Using advanced technology and precision techniques, the implants are strategically placed to provide maximum support and stability for your new teeth. The surgery is typically performed under local anesthesia or sedation for your comfort.
  4. Temporary Teeth: After the implants are placed, a set of temporary teeth is attached to the implants. This allows you to leave the office with a functional smile while you wait for the implants to heal. The temporary teeth are designed to look natural and fit comfortably until the permanent restoration is ready.
  5. Healing Period: The implants undergo a healing process known as osseointegration, during which they fuse with the jawbone. This process typically takes a few months, allowing the implants to become securely anchored. During this time, you’ll visit our clinic periodically for follow-up appointments to monitor your progress and ensure everything is healing well.
  6. Final Restoration: Once the implants have fully integrated with the jawbone, the temporary teeth are replaced with your permanent custom-made restoration. These permanent teeth are designed for durability, function, and a natural appearance, giving you a beautiful, long-lasting smile. This final step restores full function to your mouth, enabling you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

I have been going to Bright smiles Denistry for a long time. They are awesome. The inside staff changed but it’s on. The dental person who cleans my teeth was a little rough but I’m good. The dentist is very gentle and kind. I was sad when they stopped taking Medicaid but it’s their business so my kids had to go to another place. That was not an easy transition either, but it’s done. Try them out and see for yourself.

FAQs

The cost depends on the complexity of your case, materials used, and whether additional procedures like bone grafting are needed. At All Star Implants, we provide a detailed estimate during your consultation and offer financing options.

The procedure is performed under anesthesia or sedation, so patients feel little to no pain during surgery. Post-procedure discomfort is typically mild and managed with medication.

With proper oral hygiene and routine dental visits, the implants can last a lifetime. The prosthetic teeth may need maintenance or replacement over time.

Yes! After your permanent restoration is placed, you can eat your favorite foods without restrictions, unlike traditional dentures.

Most adults missing multiple teeth are candidates, but a thorough evaluation at All Star Implants ensures the best approach for your specific needs. Even patients with bone loss may be eligible with minor adjustments.

All-on-4 replaces a full arch of teeth using just four strategically placed implants. These implants support a fixed, permanent set of teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Unlike dentures, they stay in your mouth permanently and are cared for like natural teeth.
Traditional dentures rest on the gums, can slip, and require adhesives and soaking. All-on-4 implants are permanently secured, do not move, feel and function like natural teeth, preserve jawbone, and typically last 20+ years.
Yes. Four implants are placed using 3D imaging in the morning, and temporary teeth are provided by the afternoon. After 3–6 months of healing, your permanent, custom teeth are placed—so you’re never without teeth.
Most people missing all or most teeth in an arch are candidates. This includes denture wearers, those with failing teeth, and even patients with some bone loss. A consultation with 3D imaging confirms suitability.
All-on-4 is designed to work with existing bone by angling the implants strategically, often avoiding bone grafting. If grafting is needed, it can be done in-office.
The process usually takes 6–8 months from consultation to final restoration. You receive temporary, functional teeth on the day of surgery and permanent teeth after 3–6 months of healing.
Once your permanent teeth are in place, you can eat virtually anything, including apples, corn on the cob, steak, crunchy vegetables, and nuts. During the initial healing period with temporary teeth, a softer diet is recommended.
Care is similar to natural teeth: brush twice daily, floss daily using implant-specific tools, use a water flosser, attend dental checkups every six months, and avoid smoking. With proper care, All-on-4 restorations can last 20+ years.
